Project 1177: A Campus-Based Web of Fictional Narratives

This is the home of the January 2013 web of transmedia narratives for ENGL 1177: Studies in Digital Media. We’ve created five stories all working within a single fictional premise: a mysterious bubble has descended on the campus of Nibretto University, preventing anyone from leaving or entering the area. Each story will be told by its characters across multiple platforms: Twitter feeds, Facebook posts, digital videos, audio and/or photo feeds, live events, and artifacts scattered around campus.

We’ll officially launch the project in the Campus Center dining hall at noon on Wed, Jan 16. Then you’ll be able to follow any (or all) of the narratives linked in the menu on the left side of this page. Each team will be updating their pages with clues, links, and other pieces of information to help you along the way. Feel free to leave feedback on this page about the project as a whole or about individual narratives on their pages … we’d love to hear from you.

Then join us for our grand finale on Friday, January 18 at noon in the Campus Center.

  1. You guys should check out the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, a similar project that launched on Youtube but has carried over to several other platforms.
